The mission of the Research Ethics Committee (REC) is to provide, at an ethical and deontological level, a guarantee of the reliability of the research projects conducted at the University of Crete. The REC examines whether a research project is carried out with respect for the value of human beings, the autonomy of the individuals who participate, their private life and personal data, as well as with care for the natural and cultural environment.
